Sled Island Announces 2020 Curator

It’s time to get excited, every music fan in Alberta’s favourite festival returns in 2020 from June 24th-28th. The Sled Island music festival takes place in various locations within Calgary’s downtown core and is the benchmark for curation.

Every year, the fine folks announce a guest curator who will help by putting their personal stamp on the festivities through special programming choices and with their presence at the event. The Cups N Cakes Network is very excited to report that this year, that curator is R&B infused violinist/vocalist Sudan Archives.

Sudan Archives will perform at Central United Church (131 7th Ave. SW) on Thursday, June 25, 2020. Sled Island passes grant access (subject to capacity) and are currently on sale on Sled Island’s website, Sloth Records (736B 17th Ave. SW) and Lukes Drug Mart (112 4th St. NE).

Single tickets will be available in spring 2020, but the Cups N Cakes Network urges our followers to get a wristband to enjoy all four days of festivities. Sled Island 2020 Discovery and Discovery Plus Passes are currently 15% off! Regular pass rates go into effect on February 12, 2020.

Also, from now up until mid-May Sled Island is offering payment plan options. If you are looking to break up your spending this year, you’ll definitely want to take advantage of this unique offer.
