Huge Day To Help Canada's Musicians
Today, Friday March 20th, you can be a hero.
The music community has been hit extremely hard by the coronavirus with countless tours being cancelled and more still to come. Even harder is the fact that many touring musicians work in the service industry which is also collapsing. It’s important to remember the joy we get from music and the people that eek out a living to deliver the world that joy.
Thankfully, Bandcamp understands this and have stepped up with a generous offer to waive their revenue share on sales today (March 20th) from midnight to midnight PDT (1 a.m. to 1 a.m. MST). TODAY is the day to give some money to artists that WILL be in need.
We do understand many people are facing financial uncertainty, but the Cups N Cakes Network would like to urge everyone that follows us to purchase at least one album from a Canadian artist today.
