Premiere: The North Sound - Wild Rose Country

Despite having to release their latest album amid a global pandemic, Saskatoon’s The North Sound have managed one heck of a successful eight months. After releasing As The Stars Explode at the end of October 2020, the duo consisting of Forrest Eaglespeaker and Nevada Freistadt have hit #1 on the Indigenous Music Countdown, won the Saskatchewan Music Award for Indigenous Artist of the Year, got nominated for Roots Album of the Year at the 2021 Summer Solstice Indigenous Music Awards, and received multiple nominations for the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards. All this without the ability to even play a show!

Today we are very excited to help this incredible act with an exclusive premiere of the music video for “Wild Rose Country.” The video officially drops on July 21st but you can enjoy it here one day early.

Even more exciting is the fact that you can see The North Sound play a real life show this weekend for the modified Ness Creek Music Festival. Catch them on Friday July 23rd in northern Saskatchewan with Jake Vaadeland and the Sturgeon River Boys. Stay the weekend to catch The Barrelmen and The Garrys on July 24th.
