Video Premiere: Cam Maclean - Thief
Montreal based, multi-instrumentalist Cam Maclean recently released his sophomore album, Secret Verses. We loved it and made it a “Pick Of The Week” upon its release with Fel Gamarra stating:

Maclean who was previously well known for his work in Vesuvio Solo, hooked up with Cups N Cakes favourite Rollie Pemberton (Cadence Weapon) to produce Secret Verses and the formula worked beautifully. Today we are very excited to be premiering the music video for “Thief,” the final single from the new album.
The track is about struggling to find creative inspiration during the height of the pandemic and it also contains the lyrics that inspired the album’s title.

The video was filmed and directed by Ariana Molly, and explores the idea of the artist as a ‘thief in the night,’ who steals small objects and trinkets (ideas, themes, observations) from the world that are eventually transformed when they appear in songs.
