Premiere: Wax Duplex - After Dark

We are pleased to premiere a new single “After Dark” from Edmonton punks Wax Duplex. The song is paired with an unreleased track from their 2021 EP Shallow Pockets, which we premiered alongside a short interview with frontman Kendall Orr back in May 2021. The single and B-side will be officially released on March 17th, with a show at Edmonton’s BLAKBAR Tavern to celebrate, with special guests First Aid Kit and On My Side.

The single is from the band’s upcoming album Decently Lit, recorded with Kendall Orr on guitar, Travis Matchett behind the drum kit, and Cian Homeniuk on bass. After the departure of Matchett in January 2023, the band has found new life playing as a two-piece, with Homeniuk dropping behind the kit (and truly making good on the promise of the name Wax Duplex).

The single can be purchased on Bandcamp here, and will be out on all streaming services on Friday, March 17th.
