Can you think of a better representation of big band country honky-tonk music than Saskatchewan’s very own Wolf Willow? I think not!

Coming off a successful 2023 with a Saskatchewan music awards nomination for Roots/Folk Artist of the Year alongside gigs at festivals such as Winterruption YEG, Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, and Calgary’s Big Winter Classic, Wolf Willow is very quickly earning its place in the hearts of music fans young and old with their earnest, yet fun approach to country twang.

The folks here at Cups N Cakes are very excited to premier the music video for the band’s single “Do Not Believe in Me”. The single was released in April 2024 and is the first new tune off a full-length album that will be released later this year on Grey Records. When you have an act that can hint at a Motown influence with the swagger of a folk artist and the punchy rhythm of a blues act, you can’t help but bask in the band's warmth while you lace up your dancing shoes.

Filmed by frequent collaborators Conner Copithorn and edited by Ava Wild, the music video for “Do Not Believe in Me” is a visual meditation on what it’s like to live in a musician’s shoes.

Wolf Willow fans, you’re in luck!

You can next catch the band live in Medicine Hat on May 17th at the Casa Amigos followed by a string of shows in Wayne (Last Chance Saloon) on the 18th, and Calgary at the iconic Palomino Smokehouse on the 19th.
