Tara Williamson, Nathan Lawr, anybodys, and Death Talks

Tara Williamson – Enough

From Victoria, British Columbia comes a new release from poet and provocateur Tara Williamson. With amazing string arrangements, insightful lyricism, and attention towards speaking personal truth, this album is filled with raw emotion and a brutally honest catharsis, an exceptionally heartfelt album that’s bound to bring a tear to your eye.

Nathan Lawr – Apocalypse Marshmallow

An album eight years in the making, Guelph, Ontario’s Nathan Lawr’s Apocalypse Marshmallow is an indie-folk album with catchy earworms and beautiful piano compositions, catching our attention and maintaining it the whole way through. From the rock-ish titular track to the country-esque “Wandering Eyes”, this was an album well worth the wait.

anybodys – Acts of Endurance

Acts of Endurance is the newest album from Vancouver feminist punk bank, anybodys. Their powerful blend of punk, grunge, and rock n’ roll makes for a timeless sounding album that deals with contemporary issues. It’s badass, loud, and awesome guitar solos, with queer centered, political lyricism sung with unbridled rage and courage.

Death Talks – Love Songs for the Alchemist

Vancouver’s Death Talks, an experimental electronic group, delivers a dark, lo-fi experience with Love Songs for the Alchemist. This eleven track album ranges from hard indie rock to sampling the pause beat from Battletoads (yeah, I heard it.) This album is a visceral collection of artistic expression to create a nice album to think too.
