Cain Price, Parlour Panther, Robbie Tucker, and Mouraine

Cain Price – Open Call

The debut from Vancouver-based multi instrumentalist Cain Price, Open Call is a relaxing blend of jazz, folk, and lo-fi – soulful melodies and instrumentals. This is a release bound to make you close your eyes and groove out to its lush sound. Open Call takes pride in its DIY approach, a style I appreciate greatly.

Parlour Panther – Retrograde

Straight outta Vancouver is Parlour Panther and their newest, self-produced album, Retrograde. Synths, electric guitars, drum machines, and poppy vocals – this album's instrumentals sound like something out of a dream sequence in a video game, accentuating its digital sound with its pop structure, thoughtful lyrics, and retro aesthetic.

Robbie Tucker – Blue Candy

From Miramichi, New Brunswick is musician Robbie Tucker, whose newest album Blue Candy takes folk-pop and inverts it, breaking through the genre's restrictions and creating an album chalk full of eccentricity and creativity. Taking influence from Orbison, McCartney, and Presley, Robbie Tucker has a tight grasp on his unique brand of folk-pop.

Mouraine – Bigger Dreams

Edmonton-based hip-hop artist Mouraine delivers his new EP, Bigger Dreams, a five song set of bass-laden beats, catchy hooks, and fire bars interlaced between. With lyrics that praise conscientiousness and the pursuit towards a better life, Mouraine uses his lyrics to build his own legacy as well as to inspire the next generation of artists.
