Fucked Up, The This, Dead Friends, and Prism Shores

Fucked Up - Oberon

This is an OG band in the hardcore scene, and this album goes back to their roots with the four piece Oberon. This EP has gravelly vocals and deep tones, almost sounding like entering the lair of a demon. Their hellish sound is indeed Fucked Up, but in the best way possible.

The This - How Does It Feel When It’s Gone?

I don’t know what it is about fast rock and nasally vocals, but it brings my mind back to a simpler time. Luckily for me, The This delivered an eleven track album full of it. Each song has everything a fan of college rock and light punk could ask for.

Dead Friends - Ain’t Now, Never Was

This four piece Edmonton-based band blends garage rock with psychadelia in a way that feels like a home concert amongst a group of friends. Its endearing and structured sound is perfect for kicking back and letting your mind run wild with the music. It’s an age-old genre brought to life with new blood.

Prism Shores - Inside My Diving Bell

This Montreal-based band is dream pop at its finest. With entrancing vocals, a soft rock instrumental, and strong bass lines, this album is perfect for those who are looking for their indie fix. Their full sound is accentuated by their catchy choruses and enticing lyrics - so enticing you’ll find yourself listening to the whole thing front to back before you know it.
