Dominique Fils-Aimé, Matt Ellis, Jon Capus, and Kilometre Club

Dominique Fils-Aimé – Go Get It

The newest single from Montreal based JUNO Award winning, Polaris Prize nominated musician Dominique Fils-Aimé, Go Get It, is a catchy and empowering R&B track with influence of world music and alternating lyrics between French and English. It’s a track with a sound as beautiful as the lyrics sung through Dominique’s soulful voice.

Matt Ellis – Everything Sucks

Now I’d never want to say a musician is a liar, but the new single from Hamilton, Ontario’s Matt Ellis, Everything Sucks, fails to recognize that the song itself does not suck. Told in classic punk fashion with overdriven guitars and songs that barely break the 1 minute mark, “Brutal Planet” and the B-side “Everything Sucks / I Hate It All” are chock full of aggression and general badass-ery.

Jon Capus – The Familiar

From Edmonton, Alberta is Jon Capus, a musician with a wholesome indie folk sound. His newest album, the eleven track The Familiar brings this sound full force with harder hints of rock n’ roll and an instantly iconic harmonica riff in the albums seventh track “Hums”. For those who love heartfelt lyrics and an acoustic guitar.

Kilometre Club – On Ice

From Toronto is Daniel Field, who creates ambient electronic music under the moniker Kilometre Club, His newest single On Ice uses twinkling synths and organ-esque tones to perfectly encapsulate the feeling of calm on a quiet winter's day. The B-side, the previously released “The Flood” uses the sound of falling rain to carry the track through its layers of ambient and abstract soundscapes.
