Owen Davies, The Corvette Sunset, Allegories, and Marian

Owen Davies - Gravel Dreams

This new release from Owen Davies is five songs bound to tug at your heartstrings. His acoustic sound, soft vocal delivery, and emotional lyrical content is a recipe made to take a tear from your eye. Recorded in his apartment during the winter, Owen makes a quintet of songs that provide a sense of romantic catharsis.

The Corvette Sunset - The Rules

From Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is The Corvette Sunset, a four piece band that creates catchy garage rock. Their newest single, The Rules, is a love song that talks about the unspoken rules of a relationship and the troubles they can cause. Vocalist Matt Steele’s delivery helps encapsulate its aesthetic of young love.

Allegories - Endless

Seeing the cover, I was pretty terrified. I mean, look at it! I didn’t know what to expect. After listening, I still don’t. Allegories is an experimental electronic pop project where their songs explore several soundscapes with an unpredictable pattern. You never quite know if things are going to get heavier or lighter, and I love it.

Marian - Hit Record

Marian is the moniker of Dylan Ward, a musician from Fredericton, New Brunswick, and their new album Hit Record is an extraordinary display of some good old rock n’ roll. Every song on this release is eclectic, taking inspiration from almost every genre that involves an electric guitar.
