K!MMORTAL, Oranje, The Franky Tones, and Pranatricks
K!MMORTAL - Shoebox
K!MMORTAL’s brilliance and creativity IS, as they declare in their opening track of Shoebox, “I am sacred synergy”. I was, and am, truly astonished with their wide and unimpeded focus and ability to see much further than their music! From stellar rapping, to romantic and emotive writing and singing, K!MMORTAL is an authentic artistic visionary.
Oranje - Pure Sport
On the heels of their debut EP, Sled Island goers were subject to a Math Rock Masterclass of sorts by Oranje. Their tightly orchestrated music showcases the unwavering powerhouse trio’s musicianship and creativity. Pure Sport is but Oranje’s first step of many which will lead them to their destiny.
The Franky Tones - Amateurs of Reality
Anthony Frank of Black Thunder fame returns with his second solo album as The Franky Tones. Frank isn’t reinventing the wheel, but he’s churning out garage rock perfection that easily one of the most repeatable albums of the summer. Juicy hooks will grab you by the ears and drag you full speed through this collection of songs that has this reviewer less and less interested in Frank’s much much more popular project, Black Thunder. How is that possible? You’ll need to listen to find out!
Pranatricks - “Johnny Self”
Pranatricks, also known as Andrew Clements, released his second single from his forthcoming sophomore album which is currently set to release on April 4, 2024. His new single, Johnny Self, is built on a foundation of crunchy guitar tone and layered vocals. The formed foundation supports the compelling story of a misunderstood tortured soul.
