The Garrys - Surf Manitou

Today I open the vinyl edition of Surf Manitou by The Garrys. Out on Saskatoon’s Grey Records, Surf Manitou was originally released May 19th, 2017 on CD and Cassette. The vinyl version arrived a few months into 2018 and is limited to 200 copies. (100 on grey and 100 on green)

The Garrys play a nostalgic blend of surf and 60’s pop with dark undertones that sometimes gives them the descriptor “Doom-Wop." This album was a favourite of Cups N Cakes making our list of the Best Albums Of 2017.
