Single Premiere: Too Soon Monsoon - “Another Cycle of Conflict” (feat. Eekwol)

The JUNO’s are coming to Saskatoon!

With that comes JUNOfest and a chance for a bunch of Saskatoon’s finest to play in front of the industry masses that will be descending upon their lovely city to take in the celebrations. One of those acts is the pop-powerhouse, Too Soon Monsoon, who will headline a show at Drift Cafe.

To help push that show, Too Soon Monsoon gave the Cups N Cakes Network the honour of premiering a brand new single from a two song EP called Only U/I Can Stop the Cycle of Conflict. The first song on the release is called “Another Cycle of Conflict” and features Eekwol. Frontman Greg Torwalt explains the idea behind the track:

“It’s about how humanity historically seems to be in endless conflict. But in order to see a change in external conflicts, we need to stop the conflicts that we are experiencing internally. In order to see a change in the world, we need to be the change ourselves. Learned behaviours and beliefs need to be confronted so that we can grow and become better together.”

Only U/I Can Stop the Cycle of Conflict will be released on March 13th to coincide with their show at JUNOfest. Both tracks found on the release are new versions of the final two songs from their 2019 concept album, Waves: We Provide What We Absorb, We Absorb What We Provide. The band states that the tracks were their favourites from the album, but due to them being the final two songs, they’d rarely get heard by listeners.
