Regina roots act, Wolf Willow burst onto our radar near the end of 2019 with the fantastic EP, And The Leaves Have Turned To Amber. The release featured the instant classic “The Church Of St Johnny Cash” and ended up coming in at number five on our list of the “Best EPs” of that year. After close to two years of waiting, we are very happy to announce that Wolf Willow have announced a new full-length album called Old Guitars & Shooting Stars, will arrive on October 15th, 2021, through Grey Records.

Old Guitars & Shooting Stars will bring together the different sounds from their previous releases; striking a balance between countrypolitan romance, orchestral instrumental soundtracks, and western swing. The album will touch on themes familiar to those growing up in rural areas of the prairies such as: leaving home to work in the bush camps, living by the news of crops and the weather, and often being miles away from anywhere or anyone.

The new record will coincide with tour dates across western Canada, including a dual album release show in Regina with label mates, The Garrys, on November 13 at the Artesian.
