Premiere: Clara Engel - Silver Scythe

Clara Engel is a prolific and multi-faceted Toronto-based musician and visual artist. They have collaborated with musicians and artists from the UK, Germany, Brazil, Turkey, Iran, and North America and received high praise in Canada and abroad. On August 20th they released a six song offering called Dressed in Borrowed Light, that expanded their experimental dream-folk sounds to new heights.

Today we are very happy to deliver a premiere for the video to “Silver Scythe,” the albums closing track. The video was created by Engel using footage from the 1921 silent film Eldorado. The film was directed by Marcel L'Herbier, a French avant garde theorist and filmmaker.
