Video Premiere: davis & james - say it again
The Cups N Cakes Network is pleased to be premiering the music video for “say it again” by West coast classical/pop duo davis & james. The song is the first single from the duo’s upcoming EP, coming later in 2023. In addition to the duo’s characteristic vocal harmonies and emotive violin lines, you’ll hear sunny vintage synths, snappy drum samples, and shimmering chimes.

“With the music video we wanted to create a colourful visualization of both the verbal and unspoken intimacies of relationships. The production of the song really leaned into 80’s sounds, so we kept diving into that era with some playful novelty landlines and a home video feel. It was a joy to film and see how each person’s body language really conveyed the love they share with their partners, from whispering sweet nothings on the phone to holding each other close.”
Keep an eye out for the full EP later this year, and in the meantime, “say it again” can be found alongside a couple live off the floor tracks and their 2022 single “Old Remedies” wherever you stream your music.
