Video premiere: Quit It! - Tectonic

We’re excited to premiere the new video for “Tectonic” from Calgary based rockers Quit It!. The band formed from the remains of Calgary stalwarts the River Jacks, and drew attention early for the release of their 2020 self-titled EP. They began a heavy touring schedule as soon as pandemic restrictions began to lift, and released their first full length album Spilling Out in 2022, which features today’s featured track “Tectonic”.

The song is a high-octane thrill ride compressed down to just under three minutes of ripping bass lines, machine gun drum fills, and shredding electric guitar. The video features the band in their Calgary rehearsal space, and then loading up to play at local favourite venue Dickens, with a notable section of the video featuring the creation of a “No Pride in Genocide” version of the Canadian flag (which is no doubt the reason behind the release of the video on so-called ‘Canada Day’).

The video was produced by Bill Kerr, and is available to watch now on Youtube. You can find Quit It!’s excellent 2022 album Spilling Out on Bandcamp, which features “Tectonic”.
