Mas Aya, Mother Sun, Sunglaciers, and Princess Century

Mas Aya – MÁSCARAS

The newest release from Toronto's Mas Aya, MÁSCARAS is an album that dwells in the abstract and the spiritual. Through a unique blend of organic instrumentation with synthesizers and drum machines, Mas Aya evokes heavy emotion in the listener with his iconic eclectic sound, taking us away to a temporary oasis of the mind.

Mother Sun - Marbles : Mycelium

The new single from Kamloops band Mother Sun, Marbles : Mycelium are two indie rock tracks featuring soft spoken vocals, groovy basslines, and a vintage aesthetic. The inclusion of the trumpet adds a ballroom vibe and further accentuates the single's cozy sound. It’s two warm tracks for the cold days, an auditory cup of tea, if you will.

Sunglaciers – “Draw Me In”

With a danceable beat, emotional lyrics, and beautiful synth composition, this newest single from Calgary’s Sunglaciers is an alternative pop track bound to have your heart and ears entranced through its dense lyrical content and dreamlike use of vocal echoes and a sound that I could best describe as a soft distortion.

Princess Century – s u r r e n d e r

Toronto-based musician Princess Century’s releases her newest album, s u r r e n d e r,  a 13 album with an electronic and poppy sound alongside lyrics of melancholic romance. It really wants to make you jump up and groove along to its heavy beats, unique samples, and array of synth texture.
