Jahmal Padmore, Stars, magnolia, and Feel Estate
Jahmal Padmore - Esparonto
This is the debut release from Toronto’s Jahmal Padmore. Making music since 2007, Padmore uses these fifteen years of experience to come out strong with a release filled with unparalleled soul. Definitively r&b, its lyrics of faith, romance, and sadness are bound to bring a tear to your eye.
Stars - From Capelton Hill
Stars are a six piece group from Montreal, and From Capelton Hill is their newest release. Self-described as ‘fucking legends’, this album proves this sentiment true with a compositional touch to the malleable indie rock genre. Every song takes twists and turns and ends with a powerful punch.
magnolia - Confluencer
From Dawson City in the Yukon is magnolia, an artist whose crooner-esque pop is hard to not be swooned by. Wonderful melodies interwoven in a down tempo, soulful sound define this albums elegant aesthetic. Its compelling nature only grows with the songs, building up into a strong display of emotion.
Feel Estate - II
Opening with some gorgeous finger picking, this release from Edmonton’s Feel Estate is nine tracks of some mellow bedroom rock. With some borderline angelic vocals and a knack for the acoustic, this is a release for those looking to kick back and relax to its freak folk approach to an unplugged genre.
