Tess Parks - And Those Who Were Seen Dancing
Fans have eagerly been waiting for this release from London-based artist Tess Parks, with her last full length solo release coming out almost a decade ago. And Those Who Were Seen Dancing is psychedelic rock at its core, with entrancing vocals and a subtle organ. It’s a versatile album with an accessible sound and was well worth the wait.
fanclubwallet - You Have Got To Be Kidding Me
“I am simply just kickin’ it,” so says fanclubwallet, an artist from Ottawa who’s newest release, You Have Got To Be Kidding Me, is twelve tracks of some awe inspiring indie music which takes me back to the alternative pop of the 1990’s with its record scratches, distorted chords, and cool demeanor.
Kamikaze Nurse - Stimuloso
Opening with the powerful “Boom Josie”, Stimuloso is the newest release from Vancouver’s Kamikaze Nurse, a four piece band with an ear for noise rock and shoegaze. Ranging from woo-ing choruses’ to some hardcore verses, the album gives off an uneasy feeling that I adore dwelling in.
Elrichman - Demolition Derby
An album best described as ‘utterly incredible’, Demolition Derby is a treasure trove of short instrumentals and a soft rock sound that reminds me of the works of Phish and Ween. A constantly reforming sound with a touch of humor makes for an album that never ceases to entertain.
